Everything I write about is something I struggle with or have struggled with
and I find that writing and talking about helps me learn from it.
Over the weekend I was listening to someone talk about comparisons and
comparing ourselves to others.
It is one of the most damaging destructive things we can do to ourselves
It creates
Anxiety
Envy
Low Self-confidence
Unrealistic Expectations
Magnifies your imperfections
It really is destructive, but if we turn it around and emulate something or someone
it changes everything.
Emulation is something to aspire to.
It brings out more learning than self-doubt
It focuses us on creating the best qualities instead of comparing them.
It's a means of making the most out of what we have instead of dwelling on what we don't
If you emulate you become someone better, whereas comparing tears down who you are.
