This post is going to be a bit of a free-form post and I'm mostly going to write
what pops into my head.
I've been thinking a lot about understanding lately. Like what is the link
between knowledge and understanding.
Any question or real curiosity you have in life needs to have some level
of understanding. Knowledge is easy to get. It's everywhere.
If you Google something right now and you can get some knowledge. It may
not last, but it's still a little bit of knowledge.
The core of true applied knowledge is to gain understanding. This is using
knowledge in the right context and knowing when to use it and how to use it.
The knowledge and understanding you get can help to make things better, it could
be used to be more empathetic or sympathetic to a problem someone is going through.
Simply put on the hierarchy of learning understanding is the pinnacle
and reaching it is worth the reward.
