This is the very first post on my new site. I want to be very clear about why I started this site and the purpose behind it, and how it can help you.
This project for me started about 6 months ago when I listened to a talk on getting 1 percent better. Yes, 1 percent better. Doesn’t sound like much does it, but it had a huge impact on me and now here I am building a site and a possible business that is geared to help you get better
I have to admit I was a little selfish in the beginning knowing that I was the one that was looking to improve. The thought that kept rattling in my head through was I have a lot of knowledge that I can share with others that can help improve who they are and what they do.
There it was staring me right in the eyes, If I share what I learn and how I improve, it helps someone, even if it's just one person. If it helps you then I have achieved my purpose of helping you get just a little bit better.
What I am learning has come from a lot of sources and as I have amassed that information I have aggregated it on this site. To make it easier for you to find something inspirational, My goal is that you have access to great talks, people, articles, and podcasts where you can absorb the attributes and habits of those that are sharing.
What is this site about?
It’s about continual improvement. It’s what I am trying to master. Under this topic, I have a few goals.
1. Offer you the resources you need to improve who you are, your business, your relationships, and learn the habits you need to take you further in life
2. To make you think, anything I post or watch, I want you to be able to have an open mind. I have certain ways of thinking, as do most, but I don’t want to get caught in the trap of not understanding the other side, because it limits our view of what is possible.
3. This is also a personal journey for me one of self-exploration. I am looking to expand myself in ways I have never done, and by so doing improve my life and show you that it's possible to be able to expand yours too.
Why should I spend time reading and exploring this site?
The reason you should pay attention to what is on this site is that it is about helping you become a better you. (For me it's about becoming, a better Father, husband, entrepreneur, citizen, etc…)
I have flaws, I am not perfect, nor do I try to portray that my life is perfect but I am happy, and if you feel you are in the same boat, then let's row together. The more people that do, have a little bit easier time getting to their destination.
The destination is not a straight line, it's going to meander, and can meander quite a bit but if you stick with it the journey is always better than where you end up.
As far as the resources are there other websites you can go to that have something similar, yes you can get interviews from CNN. You can read about business on CNBC. But you should come here because you will get that information through my lens. And I’m confident it will be worth your while. This is why:
Clarity. There are a number of different sources online, but it can be difficult to sort through it all. So you can just come here because I can focus that information for you and make it simple and more powerful for you to use.
The Future
I am really excited about this new journey and hope you take the bits and pieces that work for you. There are a lot of things that are coming and as I said earlier if you are in a similar boat, or want to get into a boat, try this one there will be some good things to come as we make our way into improving who we are.
